Respite

Respite provides temporary relief for families or other caregivers of people with developmental disabilities. Respite is offered in and outside of the home and is available for the day, evening overnights and weekends.

Respite is not a goal oriented program. It is relief for both the families, as well as the individuals. It provides an opportunity for individuals to enjoy a vacation from their everyday demands.

Ahivim's Respite program provides the flexibility and can be used either to pay for a designated respite provider in or out of the child’s house; it can be used to fund an after school respite program; or to use as a weekend getaways or camp.
